Mandala Sujiva Concept

The Mandala Sujiva concept focuses on creating a layout where residential units and circulation patterns are centered around social spaces on each floor. We believe that in dense housing environments, it is essential to have multiple small “centers” that serve various functions, fostering a sense of community and interaction among residents.

Sujiva: Comfortable Living

Derived from the Sanskrit word “Sujiva,” which means comfortable living, our design prioritizes comfort through optimal natural lighting and ventilation. The residential units are designed to be compact yet functional, enhancing overall comfort.

Circulation and Accessibility

Comfortable circulation is a key aspect of our design. To ensure safety and ease of movement, we separate vehicular circulation from pedestrian pathways. This separation allows children to play safely in the spaces between buildings. Additionally, bridges connecting buildings at each level enhance accessibility, making it easy for residents to reach various facilities and interact with neighbors within the complex.

Rooftop and Sustainability

The rooftop is allocated for urban farming and the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. This space supports sustainable practices and contributes to the overall well-being of the community.

Visual and Environmental Considerations

To reduce heat buildup, we use light colors on the exterior of the buildings to reflect sunlight. This helps to lower indoor temperatures. On the ground floor and in circulation areas, we employ gradients toward gray tones to minimize visible dirt and maintain cleanliness.

In summary, Mandala Sujiva aims to create a harmonious and comfortable living environment through thoughtful design that emphasizes community interaction, safety, and sustainability.
